Photography

This is a collection of some of my favorite photos that I have taken over the past few years. Many of them were taken in Romania, Ukraine, and Germany. The one subject I seem most drawn to, no matter what country I am in, are churches. My love for churches stems from an experience I had of siting in a church service in Romania. The congregation began singing a song that I knew, but couldn't recall the English words to. Instead, what came out of my mouth was a mixture of Ukrainian and Spanish. Ever since then, I have tried to use photography as a tool to help define "the church" not as a body that extends just outside the walls of a building, but a community that extends past language barriers & continents.
